HAR Nanorodz

NanopartzTM High Aspect Ratio Gold NanorodzTM are manufactured using a proprietary and patent pending method that results in exact sizes, and highly monodisperse sizes and shapes.  These nanorods have aspect ratios of 6.5 and 10.

Composition

The bare gold nanorods are shipped in  DI water with < 0.1% ascorbic acid and < 0.1% CTAB surfactant capping agent.  The conjugated nanorods are shipped n DI water at pH=7.0 and have the CTAB reduced to < 0.0001%.

Custom Formulation

The transverse size is 20 nm with two initial standard wavelengths of 1064 and 1400 nm.  All orders come with a Certificate of Analysis.  Other sizes are special order.  Please contact us.

Quantity

This product is available in 5mL and 50mL sizes.  The standard optical density is 0.6.  For larger volumes, or for orders amounting over 10L per annum, please contact sales for quantity pricing.

Delivery

All orders come with a batch distribution curve for quality assurance.  Standard sizes are in stock.  Special order sizes will be shipped in two weeks or less.  All shipments are sent Fed Ex Standard Overnight delivery.  No shipments on Fridays.   

Conjugation

Unlike spherical gold nanoparticles where the net surface charge is negative thereby affording passive antibody adsorption, nanorods have a net positive surface charge.  Consequently, it is strongly recommended that for conjugating you purchase our custom conjugation services.

Part Number Description

30-HAR-XXXX are the bare nanorods where XXXX is the peak SPR wavelength (either 1064 or 1400 nm).  30-H(A,B,C,M,N)-XXXX are the conjugated nanorods where A, B, C, M, and N stand for amine, biotin, carboxyl, methyl and neutravidin, respectively.
